The world is beautiful, the world is gray, the world is awful, but it’s here to stay.

This is my Jake story.

Flashing lights, screeching tires, blaring horns, and the high pitched screams of his friends was the last memory Jake had before waking up in a hospital bed. '' Where am I?'' Jake said groggily.

''In the hospital'' said a familar voice.

Jake looked up to see his friend and savoir Forest. ''Forest... what happened? Why am I in a hospital bed?''

''You don't remember what happened?'' Forest said looking sympathetically at Jake.

''No what happened'' Jake said as he tried to stand. Jakes eyes widened as he began to scream. ''I can't move my legs. Why can't I move my legs? Oh god I'm paralyzed aren't I? I'll never walk again. Its a fate worse than death...''

Forest placed a hand over Jake's mouth. ''Will you stop whining already? Your not paralyzed. You've just been in a coma for three months. You muscles are weak from the lack of exercise.''

Jake's breathing became labored. ''Three months! What the hell!''

''Calm down Jake. We put you in coma for a reason. It was to help you feel as little pain as possible. Your coma was medically induced. Your just lucky your a werewolf because if you weren't you would be dead. Watch where your going next time. You know that accident was your fault, I mean you walked right into oncoming traffic. What were you thinking?''

Jake blushed''I saw a squirrel.''

''Seriously you risked your life and our relationship for a squirrel.''

''Yes'' Jake said without any emotion what so ever.

''Whatever Jake.'' Forest sighed. '' As your doctor it is my job to make sure you recover from this obsticle in your life no matter how long it takes. I have never had a patient that didn't recover completely and you won't be my first even if I have to live with you and cater to you day in and day out.''

''Alone time I like it,'' Jake said flirting.

Forest threw a pillow at Jake's face. ''Your such a pervert.''

''I know.'' Jake abd Forest shared a laugh.

For the next seven and a half months Forest taught Jake to walk and in return Jake gave Forest his undying love. Jake proposed to Forest shortly after he finished his rehabilitation. They brought a house in Michigan and are now expecting a baby. Jake has never been happier in his life and will live happily ever after a long as he doesn't fart in the bed.
